ADVENTURE TOUR OF CAMBODIA

Siem Reap – Kompong Thom – Phnom Penh

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL SIEM REAP – TUKTUK TO TA PROHM – SUNSET QUAD BIKE ADVENTURE (D)    
Our tour guide will be waiting for you at Siem Reap international airport for welcoming you to this beautiful town and you will be escorted to hotel for check-in. Take a short break and get your adventurous spirit ready.
Start off with TukTuk tour (a three-wheeled motorized vehicle used as a taxi) to Ta Prohm Temple, the area’s most beautiful temples (mid 12th – early 13th century). Intentionally left partially un-restored, massive fig and silk-cotton trees grow for the towers and corridors offering a ‘jungle atmosphere’ and some of the best ‘tree-in-temple’ photo opportunities at Angkor. Evening, out to experience the Quad Adventure start at 17:15, take a ride through the villages, rice paddies, 14 kilometers of the countryside immediately surrounding Siem Reap and ends with a beautiful view of the setting sun as it dips below the rice fields. Enjoy dinner at local restaurant then return to hotel for overnight.

DAY 2 – FULL DAY CYCLING TEMPLE TOUR (B/PICNIC LUNCH/D WITH SHOW)
Wake up to fresh coffee and wholesome breakfast at hotel, today experience the ancient temples of Angkor by bike. Our tour guide and driver will be waiting for you at the hotel’s lobby and take you to bike shop to pick up your helmet and mountain bike and explain briefly about today’s tour. From there, start biking to Angkor Thom City, first stop is the Southgate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk. Short stop to take some photos then continue biking to explore the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Around noon time, bike around Angkor Thom compound through the jungle to visit 4 Prasat Chrong “4 Corner Temples”. Stop for picnic lunch at one of the Corner temples.
After lunch break, continue biking to Banteay Kdei and Srah Srong. Last stop is the Angkor Wat, Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Return to hotel for short break, then our driver will pick you up and take you to Por Cuisine for dinner with Apsara Dance Show. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 3 –FULL DAY JEEP TOUR TO KULEN MOUNTAIN + BANTEAY SREI (B/PICNIC LUNCH)
Enjoy breakfast at hotel today, we adventure by jeep and drive65 km to the northeast for Phnom Koulen, the holy mountain, passing through country side and villages to enjoy a magical scenic view all the way. We’ll drive all the way up to the top of the mountain (about 45 minutes to reach there). On the hill we will trek to visit the thousands of lingams, the reclining Buddha statue. You will enjoy pic-nic lunch box which we’ve prepared from Siem Reap with cold soft drink. Take a rest or swim at your leisure at the waterfall. On the way back to Siem Reap, we will stop by to visit the famous Banteay Srei Temple(10th century), regarded as the jewel in the crown of classical Khmer Art. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 4 –FLOATING VILLAGE (B/D)
After breakfast, you will be taken to the Floating Village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap.  Visit the village and take an excursion in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake to see the floating village such as floating school, church, hospital......Continue to Artisan D’Angkor home of handicraft center, then take a quick stop to Wat Thmey or Killing Field, contains a unique glass-walled stupa containing the bones of victims of the Khmer Rouge. Conclude the tour by visit to Old Market, a lively outdoor market where you will find antiquities, silver and gold jewelry, gems, silk, kramas, stone and wood carvings, as well as T-Shirts, CDs and other souvenirs. Enjoy dinner at local restaurant and overnight at hotel.

DAY 5 –SIEM REAP – KOMPONG THOM (COMMUNITY VILLAGE HOMESTAY )    
After breakfast at hotel, our guide and driver will transfer you to Kompong Thom province via private car (150 KM, approximate 2.5 hour drive). You will be taken into the countryside for your Cambodia Home stay. At Kampong Thom you’ll be met by a local guide of the community who will briefly tour you about the village; then, you'll be welcomed by your hosts. Spend the rest of your day to enjoy being part of village community and explore the area. Challenge the village kids to a game of football and get to know the villagers by helping them do the cooking or gardening. Try out an Ox-cart ride for a scenic view of the rice field and see how local Cambodian living their everyday life. You’ll stay in a basic, traditional Cambodian home.

DAY 6 –PHNOM SANTUK– PHNOM PENH (B/D)
This morning, enjoy authentic Cambodia’s homemade breakfast with your host. Say good bye to your host, and head out via private car with guide to Phnom Santuk (Santuk Mountain). Located in KoKoh village, KoKoh commune, Santuk District, it is the most sacred mountain of the province. The summit is accessed by a stone pathway (809 steps) with many statues flanking the way. At the top is a white-walled temple and many shrines and deities, including several reclining Buddhas made out of rock, measuring more than 33 feet (10 m) in length, and a 12 Kg floating rock.
Evening, continue the journey to capital city of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, in the evening head straight to hotel for check in and refresh. For dinner, you will be experiencing authentic Khmer food at Malis Restaurant. Return to hotel for overnight.

DAY 7–CYCLING TOUR TO KOH DACH (SILK WEAVING VILLAGE) -  CYCLO CITY TOUR (B/D)
After breakfast at hotel, start a new adventurous day by cycling (about 10 Km from the city) to Koh Dach. Start your cycling from the hotel to the ferry (we will need to take the small ferry across the Mekong River to reach Koh Dach. On the Island, cycle to see the silk weaving village, through orchards, villages, and vegetable farms to the river-beach. Enjoy the beach by playing with the golden sand and swim in nice cool water. It’s a good chance for you to try out local food and enjoying it on the floating hut by the beach. After lunch, return to city and try on cyclo tour, first stop is Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda, located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. Continue to Wat Phnom Temple, a small hill crowned by an active Wat (Pagoda) marks the legendary founding place of the Phnom Penh. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at hotel.

DAY 8 –  PHNOM PENH - DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast at hotel, free time until transfer to airport for flight to next destination.  End of tour.
